Review:

This review maybe a little all over the place since I finished this last week and I just couldn't really get how I felt about this book into words so bare with me a little. Kelsey Hayes is a 18yr who is just getting out of high school and is looking for a summer job. Never knowing that, that summer job would lead her on a hunt over seas to India to break a 300 yr old curse. While facing plenty of traps,ancient curses and binding magic kelsey risks everything just to break the curse.

Tiger's Curse was a really interesting and enjoyable read. You have your ancient curse, ancient magic, handsome tiger/males (I don't want to call them a shapeshifter since it's a curse) and a lot of adventures. But this book was missing a lot that makes a book intriguing. Let's start with the main character Kelsey she was very plain, immature and she thought too much through out the book. It seems like every page was filled up with 2/3 of her thoughts than rather what's happening. The author seemed to have focused too much on her research than having more dialogue and action in the book. The rest of the characters such as Ren, Kishan, and Mr. Kadam I pretty much enjoyed They had humor and a personality, but kelsey she really didn't have any.


The desription of this book was well written and had a lot of details like I said before. I think she described India so well and chose beautiful places to describe that I felt like I was actually visiting India as I was reading. Like I said before I really with there was more dialogue and action, since majority of the book was filled with Kelsey's thoughts and also her daily routine. I didn't really understand why the author kept repeating Kelsey braiding her hair, going to the bathroom, sleeping, everytime she got the chance to and when it wasn't needed which is the main reason why besides Kelsey's lack of personality a 3/5.

Tiger's Curse was truly a pretty good book besides it's setbacks. It had a plot that wasn't the same as every paranormal book coming out now, it had alittle bit og humor but you don't really see much of it till the end of it, mostly and it was well researched. I really liked it. Will I read the next book, Tiger's Quest? I think I might, now that I've read the synopsis.

This is a really hard question.I'm looking frward to a lot of summer release's. hmm...I'm going to put two of them haha.

"If you find a book you love, do you hunt down other books by the same author?"

Sometimes I do sometimes I don't. It all depends on what the story line of the author's other books are. Take for example Holly Black and Casandra Clare. I first books I've read of Holly Black's was Ironside which I loved and since I loved that series I decided to read White Cat since it sounded different and interesting but it turned out to be okay not amazing or anything. Also Cassandra Clare's Mortal instruments series which I love also even though I think it's going a bit down hill with the th book I loved her Prequel, The Infernal Devices series.
