My Thoughts:

As I was reading this book, I was pretty much dreading about how I was going to write this review since a) I love this series b) I love the author's other works such as the Au Pairs series and lastly c) I really was anticipating this book and really wanted to enjoy it. So first I must admit I didn't finish the book because I just couldn't take another minute of it, I just felt like my soul was dying with each turning page....okay I'm exagerating, but I did feel something similar. So when you read the summary of a book you expect it to be mainly about that, well to my suprise it really kinda wasn't. The whole time while reading I kept wondering is this the same author who wrote this pretty good series and if so what happened? Like most fans of this series i'm a Schuyler and Jack fan, but the thing is they were barely in it.

They were only in it until page 80 and that's basically where part one ends, then the rest is all about Mimi and Oliver and them being together and ect, even though I kind of expected that to happen if Schuyler ever left Oliver, that he and Mimi would team up or have some type of collaberation with each other. I feel like i'm some what being unfair to this book, but then again I feel like I gave it my best to like it, but just couldn't go further into it. The character's were off, especially when it came to Jack and Schuyler's short part. To me their short part felt like something out of a Soap Opera or one of those cheesy romance novels you usually see house wives read with Fabio on the cover. Mimi deffinitely didn't sound like the take no crap from anyone Mimi and so on and on. The book was pretty much maybe the shortest book out of the series, when I looked at the end of the book the first thing that popped in my mind was Did a book worm eat the rest of it? Is she writing the rest and putting it online for free because we are such awesome fans? Or was she just being slack and decided to spin crap because she know we'll buy it?hmm..interesting, right? To me it just felt like she was creating another story with in an already plotted out storyline and just either got confused with her other series that she's writing or just got bored and decided they will either love it or hate it. Maybe whenever i'm bored again i'll pick it up and read the rest of it, but until then it's staying on my bookshelf.
